With Brisbane Underwater, Is The Worst Still To Come?
The Brisbane river is normally a placid that flows through Australia's third largest city and goes into the Moreton Bay without difficulty and so forth but things turned around on Wednesday. It was swamped completely

More and more people are dying from poverty each year. While we have more than enough to eat others are starving. It would be extremely hard to be in that kind of situation. Sadly, 8 million people die each year due to poverty.

Why is poverty so high? In an article it read that over half of the kids in the United States will at some point before they turn 18 receive food stamp assistance. This is sad if you really think about it. Why is this when we have an abundant of food where we live? Some reasons may be we waste an abundant amount of food each day. Grocery stores, restaurants, and so forth throw out a ton of food due to it being expired or them not being able to sell it. I understand that they don't know what else to do with it besides throwing it out but there's alot of people that would gladly eat it. A suggestion would be bring it to a place where it would be served to the homeless and so forth. One place in particular is the Salvation Army. Some businesses may have considered doing this but they think it's too much work and wastes too much of their time to deliver it. I don't think it's ever too much time and they should consider the homeless and needy people. They would do it right aways if they knew what the homeless were going through. I think people should experience that just for that reason. According to researcher Andrew Gelman, he quoted "that people are either on welfare or they're not. People always think that they can go and work but sometimes there's pretty good reasons for why they're not it. Im not saying that it's a good thing to get assisted help from the goverment but sometimes people don't understand what they're going through and the pain they're experiencing. It's important that we help out people where we can even if we don't feel the need. It's plain selfishness.

It is an illegal publication of sensitive information. Hacking computers is illegal big time and its no one else’s business what info they have. The article is about the founder of WikiLeaks and Julian Assange said “it was in the public's right to know." I see where he's coming from.... he doesn't know what the goverment has to hide from us and im sure he thinks that there should be nothing to hide. Thinking for myself though, even if there wasn't anything personal I wouldn't want anyone to hack my computer and post it on the Internet. In a way thats kinda rude. Thats invading people's privacy. Another thing is its not a good thing that they did this because now its only gonna give more fights and violence. People from other countries will be able to see everything and it could start a war. We do not need this and we already have enough violence and problems to deal with.

People in America are scared. Why is this? This is because almost everyone in the United States carries a gun on him/her.  In the United Sates, guns are easy to get.  Gun promotion in the States results in many guns in many homes, and consistently, the blacks get blamed for everything.
This is because everyone thinks they need to protect themselves but it’s gotten too far. A six year old boy brought a gun to school and killed a six year old girl. That is SO sad. They had no idea why he shot the girl but it must’ve been extremely hard for the parents after hearing the sad news. They must’ve wondering why our daughter?? A boy was asked to place all the guns that he had on him on the table in front of him. He had about ten guns. That is ridiculous! There is no need for a young boy to carry that many guns on him. That’s looking for trouble, big time!
Another reason why the States is so violent is because gun ownership is promoted. This is a real issue! If they want the States to be a less violent country they have to quit promoting guns and bullets. Organizations such as the RNA promote the use of guns. Another issue is that anyone can get bullets and guns at K-Mart which is a local family store. In the movie
Bowling for Columbine, a fourteen year old boy bought out all the bullets. He and one other guy actually got shot. If the people want to live in a less violent country they need to consider many things and this is one of them.
My third topic is that the blacks get blamed for everything. One of the reasons is because they have a bad reputation and history. This is really too bad because I feel that everyone should get treated equally. A man blamed an African American for killing his pregnant fiancĂ© when he was the one that killed her. Think about it…. Who’s going to get blamed? A man with a bad reputation or a man that has everything going for him? Of course the black man.
In conclusion if the States wants less violence they need to change some of their rules and regulations or maybe enforce rules. If they don’t want seven year olds playing with guns and killing innocent people they better consider some things. That’s my essay on the United States being a violent country.
